GunsModify SCAR L MK2 MWS Gas Blow Back Rifle - An icon of the modern weapon world
This SCAR-L Mk2 is licensed by Cybergun and features the FN Herstal markings. In the 10 inch version it offers the iconic look of the Scar with a handy length. The slightly angled loading handle ensures easy operation even with accessories fitted. The SCAR-L uses the MWS ZET system and is partially compatible with MWS accessories, allowing for extensive customisation.
Although the SCAR-L bolt is not compatible with the standard MWS bolt, the nozzle and piston assembly can be easily replaced.
Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle (SCAR)
The SCAR was developed by Belgian weapons manufacturer FN Herstal in response to the USSOCOM 2004 tender to modernise the special forces arsenal. By using Picatinny rails it meets the requirements for flexibility and adaptability. After its successful selection, the SCAR was given the designations:
- FN Mk 16 (SCAR-L), 5.56x45mm NATO
- FN Mk 17 (SCAR-H), 7.62x51mm NATO
Both versions were introduced in 2009 on a limited basis to elite units such as the 75th Ranger Regiment. While production of the Mk 16 for USSOCOM was discontinued, it continued to see use by prestigious organizations such as the RoK 707th, the US LAPD, the German GSG9 and the French RAID.
