Operating a headset in the field without touching the radio itself calls for an outboard transmit button. The Z-Tactical TCI Tactical PTT provides one in a low-profile housing of fibreglass-reinforced nylon with a rubber-coated button.

Connectors and body-worn mounting

The radio-side connector is the Motorola 2-Pin type, and the headset side uses the Z-Tactical military-standard plug. A metal clip on the back is used to mount it to a vest or belt.
